Maggie Thompson is a consultant at Grahall, LLC based in Calgary. Maggie is an accomplished communications professional with over 21 years’ experience in communication consulting. She is an award-winning writer known for her abilities to effectively plan and deliver all facets of communication related to human resource programs and strategies.
Maggie is a member of Total Reward Professionals, a team of seasoned consultants providing clients advice and support in the areas of total rewards, compensation, executive compensation, pensions, benefits, financial planning and communication. She is also the principal of McIntyre Thompson Communications Inc., a communications practice in business since 2003.
Previously, Maggie was the Communication Practice Leader – Western Canada for Towers Perrin (now Towers Watson), an international Human Resources consulting firm. In that role, she was responsible for the leadership and development of the practice and for the delivery of communication consulting to clients throughout western Canada.
Recent consulting projects have included the development of web-based and print materials for diverse audiences about compensation and performance management, pension and retirement issues, benefits, wellness, business strategy, mission, vision and values. Maggie is also a strong facilitator, skilled at eliciting meaningful information about complex subjects from meeting participants. In recent years, she has facilitated over 250 one-on-one interviews, focus groups and employee meetings.
Maggie has a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from St. Francis Xavier University and a Diploma in Advertising and Public Relations from Grant MacEwan University.
