Jamie Szal a Consultant with Grahall, LLC, where she provides counsel to Boards of Directors, compensation committees and executive management. She also works as a member of Grahall Regulatory Services, LLC, where she provides interpretation of regulatory issues associated with employment contracts, operating agreements, compensation policies, proxy disclosure issues, and governance issues.

Prior to joining Grahall, Ms. Szal served as Counsel at the Massachusetts Department of Revenue, Litigation Bureau. While there, she specialized in complex corporate tax appeals, which were designated to the “Million Dollar” docket. Before working at the DOR, Ms. Szal worked for NASDAQ OMX Boston, where she oversaw compliance inquiries, wrote rules of the exchange, and authored Regulatory Circulars. During her time at Nasdaq, Ms. Szal facilitated the implementation of SEC Emergency Short Sale provisions for the exchange. Ms. Szal has also worked in the Enforcement Division of the SEC, Katovitch Law Group, a boutique firm specializing in Broker-Dealer regulatory issues, and the New England Legal Foundation, a think tank specializing in business and corporate law issues.

Ms. Szal earned her Juris Doctorate from Northeastern University School of Law, where she served as Articles Editor for the Northeastern University School of Law Journal. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Middle East and African Studies from Trinity College. Ms. Szal currently serves as the Marketing and Social Media Chair of the Northeastern University Boston Regional Alumni Club, and as Co-President of the Trinity Alumni Club of Boston. When not working, you can find Ms. Szal singing with the Trinity Church of Boston choir.
